The family of Joseph Eugene McClure, a longtime Tupelo resident, will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 28. 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Choctaw Community Center in Coalgate. Lunch will follow.

Funeral services for Elmer Gene Griffith, a Tushka, OK resident, and lifelong Atoka County resident were held Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Atoka with Bro. David Kautt officiating.

We celebrated the beautiful life of Alva C. George Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coalgate 45th Infantry Park Community Building. He was born in Perryton, TX to Harold and Nancy George on January 12, 1961. He peacefully passed in his home in Centrahoma, OK on September 17, 2024.

Funeral services for Frank Lee Forneris, a Coalgate resident, will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor David Unsell officiating. Burial will be in Coalgate Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Paula (Forneris) Ennis, a shining star, left this world listening to “Jesus Hold MY Hand”onThursday,September 12, 2024, at the tender age of 80, surrounded by her loved ones in her home.

Margaret Ruth Andrews, 91, of Oklahoma City passed away peacefully in her home on September 11, 2024.Margaret was born December 14, 1932 in Coalgate, OK to John and Mary Forneris Andrews. Margaret attended Coalgate Schools and graduated in 1950.

A celebration of life was held recently for Walter Allen Nichols. He was born October 19, 1947 in Coalgate, OK to Henry Nichols and Elsie May Jameson and passed away peacefully August 26, 2024 at the age of 77.

Funeral services for Glenney Dale Madison, a Kiowa resident, were held Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Bro. Eddie Hogue officiating. Burial was in Centrahoma Cemetery with Browns Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

James Lee “Jim” McNutt, age 70, a Lehigh resident, was born on May 25, 1954, to Albert Ray and Zoa Belle (Bagley) McNutt, at Tempe, AZ. Jim passed away on August 27, 2024 at Denison, TX at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 2 days.

Funeral services for Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lieutenant Brian Fugate, age 45, will be Friday, September 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Tushka High School Gymnasium with Pastor Joseph McKeen, Pastor Daniel Henson and Pastor Dwayne Johnson officiating.
