COALGATE - The Coalgate Wildcats Football team started their season on a high note, securing a resounding 22-6 victory against the Stratford opponents in their thrilling season opener.

Hunter Bell was named Junior
Hunter Bell was named Junior Lake Record Holder at Lake Champion Fisher Park in Colorado City, Texas last summer with his 6.02 pound bass. He is back at it again! On Friday, July 7, 2023 Hunter beat his own record catching an 8.82 pound bass seating his place again as Junior Lake Record Holder.
Tupelo Pitcher Cody Airington named Pitcher of the Year
Greg Goodrich with Prep Nation presents Tupelo senior baseball player Cody Airington the Prep Nation Young Gun Pitcher of the Year Award at the regional tournament in Tupelo on April 27. Cody plans to attend Cowley College in Kansas and further his baseball career.

Tupelo High School Baseball is headed to state! But it will be tough to see better baseball played anywhere than was played in this season’s regional tournament.Class B tournament regional host, Tupelo, had their work cut out for them in this season’s state determiner.

Early Lead For Coalgate Wildcats Sets Stage For Victory Over Hartshorne The Coalgate Wildcats Varsity jumped out to an early lead over Hartshorne and took home an 11-2 victory on Friday. Coalgate scored on a single by Payton Hilfer and a double by Tristin Trevathan in the first inning.
Lady Wildcats Statebound
The Coalgate Lady Wildcats Varsity fought back after falling down by eight runs in the second inning. The comeback fell just short though, in a 9-7 defeat to Hobart on Thursday. Coalgate put up six runs in the failed comeback.
