Roger Gary Riley passes away

Roger Gary Riley, a Coalgate resident, passed away June 13, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 4, 1945 to Leon and Fannie Ella (Chick) Riley at Atoka, OK. Roger was 74 years, 6 months and 9 days of age. He attended Limestone Elementary graduating in 1963 from Coalgate High School, then attended OU. Roger was a high voltage electrician and lineman at the Ammunition Base in Savanna for over 35 years. He married Sandra Jean Johnson on December 26, 1978 in Durant, OK. She preceded him in death on August 24, 2016. Roger enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, sports, working on cars, and riding motorcycles. He loved his family and friends and the time spent with them. He was a loving and devoted husband, best Daddy and the greatest Papa ever.

Survivors include his children, Jacquelynn Riley, Michael Riley, and Jerricho “J.J.” Lambert and husband Jimmy all of Coalgate; grandchildren, Chisolm Jones and fiance, Ashley Southern, Mikalynn Riley, Ryan Lambert, all of Coalgate and Iley Lambert of McAlester,OK; great-grandson, Bentley Jones of Coalgate; brother, Danny Riley and wife Sandra of Coalgate; sister Gale McCurry and husband Ed of Durant; nephew, Dan Riley of Tishomingo, OK; nieces, Amie Judd, April Lherling and husband Tony all of Durant and Danna Beth Bowman and husband Chris of Ft Worth, TX; great-nieces and nephews, Connor Judd, Riley Lherling, Kyric Lherling, A. J. Bowman and Ben Bowman; special friend, Ann Cathey of Lehigh, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and daughter, Ginger Ann Riley.
