The Coal County sheriff’s office is investigating a case involving numerous items stolen from property located in Coal County near Stonewall.
Read moreA traffic accident, on Wednesday, July 23 was investigated by OHP Trooper Jamey Miller. The accident, which involved a semi-truck, driven by Ronnie Lambert of Coalgate, and car driven by Frank Balz of Phillips, occurred on Highway 3 & 75 at Phillips. The car pulled out onto the highway from the trailer park driveway in Phillips in front of the semitruck traveling north. Lambert applied his brakes but was unable to stop and rearended the car, causing it to end up in the ditch on the east side of the road. Mr. Balz was transported by ambulance to Coal County General Hospital, complaining of back injuries.
