RETIREMENT TIME! A retirement assembly was held Monday, May 16, at the Coalgate School cafeteria for seven people who have served the school, thousands of students and the community for a combined total of 175-1/2 years! CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WELCOMES NEW COALGATE CITY MANAGER AND BOARD MEMBER — The Coal County Chamber of Commerce held a meet and greet at their March 31 meeting for Coalgate City Manager Johnny Jump. Jump took the reins of city manager on March 1 and became a Chamber member at the March 31 meeting. The Chamber also welcomed Jimmy Lamoureux as the newest member of the Board. A former Texan, Jimmy and his wife, Kim, have made their home in Coalgate for the past several months.
