Candidates for the Coalgate City Council and Boards of Education in Coal County school districts will be able file their Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8:00 a.m. Monday, December 7, and continuing Tuesday and Wednesday, December 8 and 9. The filing period ends at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 9.

The family made their home in Coalgate, OK and later moved to Dallas, TX where Abel worked for Dallas Parks Department, then relocated to California where the family resided in Bell Gardens, Watts and Compton areas. They eventually moved back to Coalgate, OK.
