A memorial luncheon in honor of Dennis Eugene Stein was held Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at the Community Center in Tupelo. Interment was in Choctaw Veteran’s Cemetery in Tuskahoma, OK with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements.

Dennis, a Stillwater resident, was born on March 12, 1963 to William Edward Stein and Nellie Faye (Miller) Hunter at Kansas City, Missouri. He passed away on August 25, 2026 at Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 63 years, 5 months and 13 days. Dennis was a Master Carpenter and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include daughters, Sarah Schlegel and husband Phillip and Andi Wallar all of Wichita, KS and Erica Ferris and husband Eddie of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren, Emma Meadows, Alec Ferris and Lyam Ferris; siblings, Joe Stein and wife Lisa of Roff, OK, Bill Stein and wife Stacy, and Ollie Maple all of Tupelo, OK, and Darvin Gore and wife DaNay of Florida; along with countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, William Edward Stein; mother Nellie Faye (Miller) Hunter; and sister Mary Smith.
