Funeral services for James Delbert Holder, a Coalgate resident, will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Pastor Lyle Shipley officiating. Burial will be in Pine Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Wednesday evening 6 to 8 p.m.

All of us by now have seen friends and family hit or even now struggling with this deadly virus. Many of us have struggled with friends who never did accept that it was anything serious. “Just the Flu” was said to me several times in the past months. “Covid will go away the day after the election” was said often. Statistics were pulled out of thin air (or was that face-book) to prove their points. I can only imagine how those who suffered a loss of friends or family from this deadly disease feel when confronted by this sort of “friend.”
