Natalie Shaw is the daughter of James and Melissa Shaw and the granddaughter of Ray and Dottie Jordan of Coalgate and Jim and Wanda Shaw of Wetumka. Natalie has attended Coalgate High School for four years and is a member of the Lady Cats Fast-Pitch and Slow-Pitch, Powerlifting, FFA, 4-H, National Honor Society. Natalie was a 2025 OGPCA Powerlifting State Qualifier. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and friends, showing sheep, playing softball, weightlifting and hunting. Natalie plans on attending OSU to become a veterinarian and specialize in AI of livestock.

A former female employee of Tupelo School was arrested and charged October 2 in relation to sexual child abuse. Although the probable cause affidavit does not indicate what position the suspect held, some public reports refer to her as a cafeteria worker or lunch lady.

Funeral services for Michael Gene Lee, a Tupelo resident, will be Friday, October 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Chapel in Coalgate with Lauren Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate in charge of arrangements. Family night will be Thursday evening 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
