Hal Gene Mowdy

Hal Gene Mowdy, 88, of Victoria passed into rest on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. He was born October 17, 1935 in Durant, OK to the late Charle W. Mowdy and Mary E. Bell Mowdy. Hal was a long-time resident of Victoria for over 46 years after moving from California. Hal was the original founder and president of Mowdy Boats, Inc. in Victoria from 1977 to 2005. Prior to his operating his boat company he was a school teacher in Port Lavaca, TX for 3 years. Then he and Betty moved to Southern California where he taught high school auto shop and then plastics and fiberglass technology.
