A longtime Coalgate resident, Michael Roy Baumert, passed from this earth Friday, February 13, 2026 in Oklahoma City at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 13 days. He was born to Edwin and Olga (Gustafson) Baumert on June 30, 1936 at Coalgate.

Funeral services for Ernest “Lee” Sweat were held Friday, March 27, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Stonewall Baptist Church in Stonewall, OK with Jake Munday officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Brown’s Funeral Service of Coalgate.

Oleana Eileen Murphy, a Centrahoma resident, was born on October 15, 1972, to Lee Elvis and Eileen (Pierce) Murphy, at DeQueen, Arkansas. She passed away on March 18, 2026, at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 53 years, 5 months and 3 days. She attended school at Hugo.

Graveside services for Danny Wayne Bullard, Sr. will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Tupelo with Bro. David Boggs officiating. Family night will be Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown’s Chapel in Coalgate.
